It’s just a matter of time. 🌻
Happy Saturday Friends, I hope your week was filled with joy. I can’t believe we’re more than halfway through this year, it’s so mind boggling how fast things are moving.
This week, I realized something, it’s literally “just a matter of time” before you start to see the cards line up in your favor, before things begin to make sense. 💭
As you all know, I struggled with a pretty bad knee injury and I still haven’t had surgery. It’s been three weeks and my surgery is officially confirmed with one of the best orthopedic doctors in the area — 7/22.
While it took some time to get scheduled, I’m grateful to have insurance and I’m grateful to have the upcoming time off to reset and focus on my health (I’ve been working from my bed this entire time).
But one specific thing happened this week, that made me realize it’s just a matter of time before the cards will completely line up and I’ll live my true purpose, by God.
I got a pretty demeaning email and had to endure a pretty rude dialogue from a coworker, I cried to Jon about it after the meeting. Explaining how tired I am of the politics, rude people and competitive nature of CM. We talked, he encouraged me (deep into my spirit) and then….
I took a long pause. I moved away from my computer. Looked at my personal goals list and reflected, saying, “I AM MORE THAN MY TITLE, I AM MORE THAN MY POSITION.” ⬅️⬅️⬅️
I checked Instagram to see how everyone else was doing, liked a few posts, checked my inbox and saw a message that really excited me. A brand wanted to collab. 🎉
And this, this is how God works. My mom used to tell me as a kid, “when you feel like everyone hates you, God always places one person in your life who celebrates you.” And that’s exactly what I’ve always looked for during my most difficult / lonely seasons.
I don’t know what will come from the surgery. I don’t know how long I’m meant to work my day job. I don’t know what will come from the brand collab. [nothing is certain].
But I do know, this (and this is my confession): it’s just a matter of time before the calling on my (and my family’s life) will be activated in a big way. And I’m excited about it. Let this be your affirmation too. It doesn’t matter where you are today, it only matters that you have faith. Have faith that it’s just a matter of time before your hopes, dreams, passions and gifts will be discovered. Have faith in the process, even with a few bumps along the way.
Xo,
Taylor
