I think we can all agree with the system being flawed. If senior leaders interviewing candidates in Corporate America, only see Black women, in their late twenties with their Bachelor’s Degree, a “fit” for more entry-level support roles, despite over nine years of extensive experience in Corporate America, Houston we have a problem!

I’m reminded that every season of life has its unique qualities (a scent) — and in its own way it changes you from the inside out.
As we left the Chicago Shed Aquarium from our sixth grade field trip, I finally told the kid I was going to “kick his ass” when we got off the school bus, though I was fully afraid of what kicking his ass would entail, I knew enough was enough.
